Helen Bashford

Welfare Officer
Competition Marshall

Helen and her daughter Verity became involved with Flitecrew in 2011 when Verity switched from Artistic Gymnastics to Trampolining. She soon became involved with helping out as an unqualified official. At competitions this mainly involves being a competition marshal ensuring the right competitor is ready to compete in the right place at the right time. In 1993 she undertook training in safeguarding and ‘time to listen’ and now has a role as one of Flitecrew’s Welfare officers. She has attended Loule training camps with the club on 2 occasions where she loved her job as gamesmaster! In other areas of her life she is an assistant Scout leader in Horsham and works as a trained nurse at Crawley Hospital on the Stroke Rehabilitation Ward. For fitness she power-walks marathons.
